Ritchies Training Centre was established in 1983 by Walter Ritchie, Walter decided the only way to engage high quality drivers was to train them himself.
With over 25 years experience in the road haulage industry and operating 35 vehicles performing local and long distance work, he was well aware of the needs of the industry. This was the start of the HGV training centre in Tollcross, Glasgow.
Since then, PCV, Forklift and construction plant have been added to our training portfolio, as well as classroom-based courses such as ADR, CPC and DGSA.
We provide training in all areas for private individuals, companies, most of the large district councils in Scotland, The MOD and most of the utility companies throughout the country, as well as being a CTP Resettlement Training Centre.
As well as our own driving maneuvering area we also have our own “construction site”, used specifically for training on a variety of plant equipment including our 3 Tower Cranes.
