Rule changes on driver training for Dangerous Goods (ADR)

From 1st January 2007 the current exemption for drivers of vehicles less than 3.5 tonnes expires. From that date drivers of all vehicles that carry dangerous goods will be required to hold a vocational training certificate (ADR).

SAFED TRAINING
Ritchies instructors have recently successfully delivered the above training to drivers throughout the country as part of the Road Haulage Modernisation Fund.


Following on from the success of the Scotsim programme which delivered the same fuel efficient training to drivers, this programme has proved a winner with haulage operators as on average their drivers showed vast improvements in fuel consumption and safety.
